24 hour emergency triage nursing service in Negril

Hello folks!
Just a quick note to remind you to go to my website to contact me before you get to Negril! You can enter travel dates, where you are staying, allergies and any other significant medical history you want me to know.

Let your hotel know you want me to be called if illness or injury presents itself. Majority of hotels know of my services but at night you cannot rely on the staff always. Keep my number handy! I carry a medic bag and AED if necessary to provide immediate needs and will assist to get you higher level of care or get you where you need to go in an emergency. Not all issues need an ambulance and some hotels just call them which can accrue high cost and may not be necessary. Many calls do not require physician also. I will collaborate with physicians or services if needed. Physicians aren't always in town and live outside Negril which takes time to get to any call...while during the day they run clinic with patients! TIME is not to be wasted on waiting for help!

Nurse Beth - what if we are staying at an AI (Couples Negril) that has a nurse on call? Just curious if they offer the same type of assistance that you can offer. We have used the medical care there once and had the doctor called in when my husband was stung by a sting ray. We were very happy with the care they provided. I am just uncertain how things work if we have a more urgent medical issue arise (we aren't getting any younger). I guess I just want to have all my bases covered and know the best options available to me if/when needed. Thank you!!

I also can't remember if there is always a nurse there or if something happens at some weird o'clock hour they have to call someone to the resort. Anyone can feel free to chime in................

Just aw this sorry...large hotels that have greater than 100 beds are required to have a nurse on site. Can be contracted through Spanish company Hospiten or through local service I don't work with. Ask questions. Can the nurse take blood pressure, carry glucometer and wound supplies??? Use who YOU are comfortable with. You let them know who you wanted called at check in or call me yourself. Pre registration is allowing me time to reach out to hotel. I have had many calls to CocoLaPalm, Grand Pineapple and others and I get through. If they deny your right to choose your medical care, it will be public knowledge trust me....See my website and email questions. I do not get notification of comments on a thread here, just messages. If you are on a blood thinner, I would bring my own reversal agent in case of a bleeding accident... Of the new ones, I believe only pradaxa has a reversal agent

See your Dr for instructions prior to travel, carry more than enough meds in your CARRY ON and pre register with me on my website. If you need labwork done here, when you arrive call me and I will assist.
