We are in Port Antonio right now and the sea and waves are crazy. The owner of the B and B we are at said the seas are the worst he has seen in 10 years (not including hurricanes). We went to Boston Beach yesterday and the entire beach was covered in 2-3 feet of seaweed and it was hard to get to the water. We are arriving in Negril on Monday and were wondering if the beach in Negril was affected. I know from past experience that the cleanup goes quick but was just curious if it got hit.

The beach today in Negril. Being on the Gulf side of the island, we generally have less active seas than the Atlantic side of the island. These pictures were taken moments ago at Fun Holiday.

wi moving into our low season calm wata right now...it been calm here on the Cliffs the last couple of days....

i tried to get into the water yesterday and there was a large sandbar which required a high step up and was like walking on quicksand. hope its better today or that the full moon changes things.
