I need Grand Pineapple Update
Hello. I am hoping someone can give me a true update on GP. I have been there many times and the last visit was summer 2016. During that visit I noticed some things were cut back a bit like running out of alcohol, limitation in food choices in buffet and no water sports except for one paddle board. Have things improved since or the same? I will appreciate any information so I will know what to expect. Thanks in advance
Barbara

We were there 4 years ago and again 2 years and they ran out of certain types of alcohol on more than one night on each visit. That's nothing new.

I have no first hand knowledge other than a friend of mine within the last year mentioned some property improvements being underway. I have to admire Greg and Kelly … it does put a downer on your vacation when your alcohol choices are limited. Be forewarned to be prepared. Cheers and hope you have it work. I did hear that they were very charming and warm and accommodating.

It's a great resort. An inexpensive all inclusive. It was our only real complaint. We bought an extra bottle of rum and vodka so we could keep partying after the bar closed/ran out of liquor. No worries!
Re: I need Grand Pineapple Update
I liked the grand pineapple. I stayed there twice and it served its purpose. I am now more confident in town and don't stay all inclusive anymore. I did find that the food choices decreased from my stay in April 2015 to April 2016. Overall, everything was clean, plentiful (even with "limited" selections), and friendly. I only really drink beer (just discovered vodka and ting last year!) and the kegs were always full. If I were a liquor drinker, I'd bring or buy my own anyway because I don't prefer the well brands they have at grand pineapple. I was always safe and had everything I needed. I do think the lounge chairs need an overhaul. That's my only real complaint. If they did a hotel only option and price point, I would readily stay there!

One thing we like about the Grand Pineapple is that an all inclusive, but it's inexpensive enough that we can still afford to eat at all our favorite places in Negril. If sand gravity becomes too strong we just eat there!
