Right now the morass is on fire - happens every year so relax. The manager here told me to grab my passport and head for the sea. LOL.

The tide is going out and although I have seen the results, this is the first time I have actually seen the sea "making" a beach. Right in front of Alfred's the water is high up but look at the pictures.

This guy normally uses a kayak to get out to his boat but you can see how much sand there is now.

Super cool! When we were there a couple weeks ago on the first day as you entered the water in front of Rooms there was a big dip...few steps in and it was over your knees....then back up and it was ankle deep and then was a gradual slope like normal. By the time we left, it was close to normal again.

For years we went in April. We stay on the morass side of the road and every year it caught fire. It made a huge mess on our verandah. One year the smoke was so bad we had to go to the beach so we could breathe. We go in March now and I don't believe there's been any fires during our time there.

Nancy - are you back home yet or still in JA? It was great meeting you!

Got home last Saturday. It was great meeting you, Brian, Amy and Tom as well (I remembered I think). Thanks for mentioning the pub crawl to us. Since it was just Gerry and I this trip we may not have gone. Always a great time.

Yep - you got the names right! :) This past week was a horrible week for you to come home to weatherwise. I'm not very in love with the "spring" we aren't having.

Just remember what they put in the back of your passport now if you have new 10 year one - don't get it wet!! It's like any electronic device. Worst case scenario is they won't let you back into Canada and you'd be marooned in Jamaica! Not a bad option!
