The Birds attack my gardener everyday.

Coral Seas Garden Hotel is just that.
Garden like and very picturesque.

Imagine a bamboo tree, multiplied by 150.
Very close together in a circle. Its about a 15 foot diameter.

150 thin trees, About 30-40 feet high.
When the wind blows they rock back and forth with the breeze.

There are plants and bushes and other trees all over the place.

All the time I see Humming birds and another black and yellow bird.
The Humming birds will chase the Black and yellow out of the area.

There is this one tree, that has a family of these Black and white birds.

They will buzz by you when you walk under the tree.

But the groundskeeper guy catches it all day.
As he rakes, here they come.
Dive bombing and screeching by his ear.

The other hotel workers laugh and joke with him.
Sometimes the guy does get a little upset when
the birds come very close to his head.

Once, I saw the bird shoot down to his head and let out a
loud screech about 3 inches from his ear.

"Mon, the don't bother anyone else, just me!
"Everyday, as I'm raking and cleaning the grounds." he said.

One day I saw him talking with another worker and they were looking down at the ground.
It turned out that one of the birds was "stuck" between the teeth of the rake he uses.

I know it would be hard to catch a bird with the rake,
but what I think happened is that he was raking and the
birds were giving him grief as usual.

I'm thinking without any warning,
the man just swung the rake up very quick, without turning to look
and "WHAM, the bird was coming down just at the right time to get stuck.

The bird was stuck good, but calm, not flapping to get un-stuck.

We laughed, the Man said
"that's what you get, stop harassing me".

Eventually he shook the bird loose.

Nature at its finest at the Coral Seas Garden

had to laugh at that, reminds me of when I had some blue jays nesting in my back yard. They would start dive bombing my head every time I went outside so for 2 weeks I carried a big fishing net around withm e out back. That taught them to stay back just a bit. Quick bugger tho, never did get one
in the net. That only lasted about 2 weeks, then the babies flew away.

This is common behavior in the breeding season. He may also be working too close the the nest. He needs a hat with big "eyes" on the backside. Birds don't typically attack from the front because you can see them coming and counter attack. Get your bird on at www.birds.cornell.edu. Hey RonMon, Its nice.

Cleaning ladies come about 1 in the afternoon, everyday.

Just leave a little tip on the bed for the hard working Housekeepers.

Sunrise is next door, with a 2nd entrance off of the Drive way.
There is parking too.

The pool guy was there, this last trip.
Cleaning the bottom with an underwater vacuum. Nice.

Nice places all around for food.
Try Mom's Place, right across the road.
Walk down the lane that is to the left of Bar B Barn,
Turn left at the beach for Mom's Place.
Good food there, breakfast. lunch, Dinner.

Many safe reliable drivers hang out at Sunrise in front.

P.S. There were times at night where the water
was off, but just wait a bit and it came back on.
All the daytime the water is plentiful and hot.

A nice little store on the same side of the street
and one
directly across the street from it.

All the rooms have key safes.

It's a very nice, family run Hotel.
