Hey Ukran1ans, what's up dude?
I read that it is closed April 1st to June 30th.
That sounds about right.
The Lobsters are dancing and prancing and making love
for 3 months straight.
So, "in" season would be July 1st until March 31st I guess.
Don't quote me.:courage:

Lobster
Closed Season:
April 1 – June 30 each year
Law:
It is against the law to catch, buy or sell lobsters during the Lobster Close Season. It is also against the law to catch berried lobsters (with eggs) or undersized lobsters (under 3.5 inches in carapace length) throughout the year.
Penalty:
Six months in prison.
Fact:
Possession of lobsters without declaration is strictly prohibited. Call the Fisheries Division and declare the amount you have in stock.
Six months in prison, ouch. That's the kind of law we need for poaching in Canada!
At least I'm pretty sure I saw last year, IDK if it has changed, if you declare lobsters caught before April 1, you can serve them thru April 21.

they upped the penalties this year a lot......previous it was something like only a small fine with no prison time....
Cool Runnings, Marko
One of the best lobsters I have had in Negril was at Woodstock (on the beach) around Roots. Mind you it was not cheap and any sides were extra. So a large (btw) lobster with steamed veggies and a Ting was around $39 US - I paid in Jamaican. I would definitely go there again.
