Rob should declare some title for the Negril almost expatriates in limbo ?
Yes ,,,Rob,, I think you should declare some "declaration " or some kinda informal citizenship as Negrillians to folks who have visited there, say over 10 times? Some kinda gold medal on a chain to wear when strutting on the beach as an "Ole Vet" ....

10 times???? Maybe a gold plated pacifier would be appropriate. ;)

Such a low bar. Some might counsel against wearing that much gold openly, too. Hmmmm . . . Maybe a newbie tax to pay for our care and feeding. Don't need no medal!

Wearing a faded old t-shirt, comfortable weathered shoes, no strut, no flash, taking time to talk with people...that is a sure sign of an "ol' timer."
However, a gold chain or medal would likely garner some attention;.:biggrin-new:)

I thought the terms "Jamerican" or "Janadian" could be used for us frequent visitors from North America. Haven't been able to find anything that rolls off the tongue to describe our friends from "across the pond" or other parts of the world.

Whynot, nice idea, but as Hyppolyte stated "don't need another target on mi back" LOL
My "Strutting" days are over, but I do get a nice warm feeling when I'm walking down the beach or cliffs and get a nod and a smile from a local whom I encountered in the past....
