Re: Our First September Trip
We go every September....never had a bad trip in more than 20 years....sometimes a bit extra rain. We also always buy trip insurance......good idea. Also it is nice and peaceful, no crowds...soon come is a little faster in September too!
Re: Our First September Trip
We've been thinking about October just to make conversation. I am a teacher and we have a week off in October, thus the potential trip. For us our biggest concern is that it is warm enough. We went last April and the warm weather was divine. 88-89 every day makes the bikinis nice and skimpy for the better half.
Re: Our First September Trip
We will be back to Samsara in October and it will be plenty warm enough.
Re: Our First September Trip
We have been there June July nov and dec. it has always been the same. If anything feels hotter in dec coming from cold Ohio.
Re: Our First September Trip
When I first started to come down in the 80's, I always planned a September trip. Barring a major storm, the weather is generally perfect! Sunny and nice in the morning, heat building in the afternoon, rain around 4, clearing for sunset. Then a beautiful night...
We did get a major storm in '88, Gilbert was a wild experience! It turned out to be one of the major reasons I moved here!

Most people move to get away from devastating weather, and you moved to it ? ThatÂ’s courageous!

I didn't move for the "devestating weather", but because of the local reactions when dealing with adversity...
Re: Our First September Trip
So Rob how bad was the damage to this area with Hurricane Gilbert?
