Non stop from Philly to MoBay by way of Los Angeles ......"Say what?"
Friday afternoon Linston had an airport transfer from Mobay to Negril for two people traveling together on a nonstop from Philly............Ten minutes before departure we get an email from T#1 (traveller # 1) saying the T#2 had missed the connection and was not on the plane and they were closing the door.
She had no idea where he was and what would happen while she was out of touch for 3 hrs...........We responded that we’ll work it out for you when you get here. (just relax????) Poor lady...it must have been a terrible flight not knowing
Flash to T#2. He really wants to get to Jamaica ASAP. There folks are booked for only 5 night at Tensingpen......................
So he’s going to do whatever it takes.......except that the next day (Sat) that flight is overbooked so he can’t get on that...........so..............They send him to New York and he gets on a flight to LOS ANGELES ...yes that’s right LAX.......Lay over in Lax for 2 hours and the nonstop to Mobay on the early flight.......arriving at MBJ at 06:00 the next morning.
Meanwhile T#1 is cooling it out at Tensingpen. The staff was caring and wonderful and put her at ease
0430 next morning Linston picks her up to ride with him to Mobay for the 0600 arrival,,,,,,,,,,,except it was 2 hours late. WTF??????...........This guy has been trapped in the bowels of the airline monster for going on 30 hours.
The good news is that they are having a great time now and man do they have a story to tell! :biggrin-new:

A few hours with your toes in the sand can make 30 hours of hell all worth it. The worse the commute is, the better the sand gravity and a Red Stripe!

I flew once from Cancun to Chicago with a stop in Los Angeles. It was like my own The Amazing Race!

Just wanted to say that Linston's Zion Hill Taxi Service were incredible! Not only in helping us through the flight fiasco but through out our whole trip. I can't wait to get back there in September.
