Another Snorkelling thread
On our previous trip to Negril we visited Booby Cay, had grilled lobster for lunch on the island and snorkelled at the reef not far away on our way back. We’d like to do it once more but we forgot the names of the fellows who took us out. Does anyone here have suggestions of someone with a boat who can take us out to Booby Cay and at the reef for some snorkelling?
This time around I’m looking into a few other snorkelling options too. We have our own gear and I plan on going to PeeWee’s to snorkel along the cliffs. I also read a post here that mentions Samuel's Bay National Marine Park. Has anyone been there? Is Rhodes Beach Resort the best way to access the reef? If any of you have suggestions on nice snorkelling spots in Negril I’m all ears.
Thanks
Re: Another Snorkelling thread
For Booby Cay and snorkeling......there's Capt Clark down by the Kuyaba. I think his grandson Shaun runs the show now. They always do a great job. Also, Capt Every Ready by Roots Bamboo, his guys Larry and Derek do a great job too. I'm sure most the boat guys on the beach are good. This last Feb I snorkeled the reef by Calico Jacks at Half Moon Beach, I found the farther south you go on the reef the nicer it gets.

Thanks Todd.
We got in touch with Calico Jacks via their Facebook page. This not being high season, they replied to give them a call the day before. I'll be heading south down the reef as you suggested.
I got a reply from an email to the Rhodes Beach Resort in Samuel's Bay National Marine Park. There is a $10 daily charge to use their facilities. We'll snorkel the coral reef at Samuels Bay and also check out the infinity-style Oceanside Pool.
