Re: Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica
I remember when plastic took over for paper here, it was a minor adjustment.
Going to a new form of bagging should be about the same, a simple adjustment.
The large stores in Kingston and MoBay have been selling their own multi use bags for years. You often see them in Negril!

Re: Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica
Single use bags have been ban for 5 years where we live. After a short time, you get used to it and eventually its just business as usual. I hope thats the case in Jamaica because it will help with the on going liter problem

Re: Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica
I've been bringing my reusable bags for years. They can carry many beers and bottles of rum (45 lbs ea). Last visit we brought reusable clamshell boxes for carry out. A great combo for bringing home your 3 Dives take out! The bags make a nice gift, too.

Re: Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica
Glad to see the end of the plastic scandal bags. I remember back when straws were made of paper so that will be a return to the past.
Replacing styrofoam could be interesting, what will they turn to? Hopefully, not plastic! Some of our local restaurants up here are starting to use compressed paper containers for their takeout meals, they seem to work fine.

Re: Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica
When I first moved here, there were only cardboard boxes used for food. They worked just fine. I have always wondered why they replaced them.
A return to the old "box lunch" will be nice!

Re: Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica
Suffolk County NY started charging extra for bags. We bought a bunch. The biggest inconvenience is remembering at the check out that I forgot them in the car
