tomorrow (Monday night) new tv series that begins in Jamaica
New TV series MANIFEST (on Monday) looks interesting: When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. But in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years -- and after mourning their loss, their friends, families and colleagues had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they're all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds, and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.
First episode date: September 24, 2018
Network: NBC

Hmmm, didn't seem to have much about Jamaica in this first episode...
The show reminds me a little of The Crossing...

I agree Rob. There was really nothing that said Jamaica to me except for the made up name of the airline. It looks interesting though.

watched the episode... they got the airport all wrong! haha
reminds me a little about "Lost" and this one book I started reading and will have to wait until I get back to my grandparents house to remember the title... a religious book where God takes a bunch of people... most from an airplane.... that's my only connection. will read and report!

Left Behind I believe is the book you're thinking of.
