The Hotel Check-In

Ok, made it to my Hotel

There was just one lady behind the desk, I never saw her before.

I tell her who I am,
She says
"ah, yes, we have your room ready.

I was opening up an envelope marked "HOTEL" with my US cash.
Then she says that will be $$XXX$$.
Huh??? What the??
Hey!! I'm Markospoon, I have a special rate from the owner.

Just a moment, she is looking at the computer screen, but nobody notated my rate.
"One moment sir, I must call the day Manager.

I had all my bags outside, the office.
I was trying to keep one eye on the bags and one eye on the front desk lady.

Sorry, sir, she is not answering.
Ok, so here I go with my story.

15 years, blah, blah, rate reduced, blah, blah,
"sorry Sir........

I say, Ok, tell you what.
Here's 1 hundred US.
Take this, I'll fill out the check in card for 1 night then tomorrow...
Her phone rings.....
Yes Ma'am......., he says he's Mark.....from Chicago......
Yes ma'am.......alright........ very good.
She hangs up.
"Yes sir, I have confirmed your rate".
"Please keep the money in that envelope, Please."

She was going to call security to help with the bags,
but , I said "that's ok, I got this."

So Markospoon...what hotel did this happen at?
