Clamato
Just a friendly heads up for all my Canadian friends out there (and honorary Canadians if you prefer a Cesar over a bloody Marry). Pulled into the Green grocer tonight to pick up a few things and low and behold , from the back of a delivery van, comes a case of clamato. 16 jugs of the juice that the gods themselves created. One box, 16 jugs of 1.8 liters (64 ounces for our un-Canadian friends). 15 are left and I'm pretty sure they aren't going to last long. Haven't seen Clamato anywhere on the island since December. Let the mayhem begin, eh!

Re: Clamato
You can tell crazy, busy February is over...stock is coming back!!
I was fighting for club soda or sparkling water last month.
Thanks for the Clamato heads up!
:encouragement:

Re: Clamato
If you don't feel like making a Caesar yourself, you can go to the Sea Star and they will make it for you. And yes they are very good.

Re: Clamato
We make our own on Zion Hill.
Here's the actual ingredient list from Motts:
WATER, TOMATO CONCENTRATE, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE, SALT, CITRIC ACID, SPICES, ONION AND GARLIC POWDER, ASCORBIC ACID (TO MAINTAIN COLOR), DRIED CLAM BROTH, VINEGAR, NATURAL FLAVORS, RED 40, RED CHILI PEPPER.
Yes that's a lot of sugar!
Here's how we do it
8 Oz liquid Clam base (totally unseasoned)
4-5 Tsp sugar
3 TBS lemon juice
2 Pinch Old Bay
2 Pinch Onion powder
2 Pinch Garlic Powder
2 Pinch Citric Acid (+-)
2 Pinch Celery Salt (+-)
touch of white vinegar
touch of red chili powder
Mix 1 part spice/clam to 3 parts tomato juice. Add water to thin depending on thickness of tomato juice (Canned Grace JA. tomato juice is very thick)
