Coco la Palm. the Jacuzzi, and a new place to stay
We have stayed at Coco a number of times, but 2 of the last 3 years the jacuzzi has been broken. When making reservations for next week I inquired about the jacuzzi and was informed it is not working. I asked for a $10 a day discount, but they said no. So, I am looking for a new place this year. On the short list is White Sands, Rooms and Travelers. For me the most important is shade on the beach and peace and quite at night. Any thoughts on these locations or others priced less that $100 including all taxes?
Regards,
Bob

Assuming that you still wanna be on the Beach, you also have Negril Palms and Rondel falling into that price range (I'd also say Fun Holiday but not sure how peaceful they are, since they have nightly events).

Id look at Negril palms or white sands.. NP grounds and rooms are nicer I find ,but WS has a friendlier “like family” vibe to it. Both great locations.
Cclp is our favorite, hope your not turning your back just because of the jacuzzi. (One jacuzzi, several guests....by the end of the day it’s like “human soup” ) just imho.
Will be at all 3 plus firefly from nov to dec.
Re: Coco la Palm. the Jacuzzi, and a new place to stay
Last week on FB the Coco owner posted a pic of the Jacuzzi saying it was the biggest in Negril. Someone replied that it never worked. I then posted a pic of the Hedonism hot tub. LOL

For the money I like White Sands, nice shade if you get up early and get under the hut on the beach.
We are staying at Coco in Feburary.
We have a group of 6 so I hope the Jacuzzi is working by then

Weeboy and greg&kelly:
Will check out Negril Palms on the net. The jacuzzi always seemed to be clean with loads of chlorine when it worked. Loved the setting and normally we were the only people there as we would go just after dinner. But it is the principal of the issue, especially when they would tell us it would be fixed "tomorrow" which of course never came. Maybe it is time to move on. I did send a e-mail to Ferron, the general manager, and will see if they get back to me. We also may just show up with no reservations and assess the situation at that point, but I want to have a few places just in case.
It seems they took down the photo of Hedonism!
Thanks for the info.
Regards,
Bob

I just checked. The Hedo hot tub pic is still up in his thread. BTW, it's on his personal FB page, not the page for Coco

Resolution: I received an e-mail from management stating that the maintenance team was working on the jacuzzi problem but they could not guarantee that it would be fixed by Monday. However, they offered a slight discount and we accepted the offer. After checking out various properties, Negril Palms was our back up plan.
