That would suck and fortunately it is also not true. It isn't the case for Negril. There will be live shows just as there always were during the pre-Covid years. I just talked with promoters, venue stage rentals companies and security guard companies and nothing like that has been mentioned or discussed for Negril.
You are probably referring to the article in the Gleaner which states the police Senior Superintendent Wayne Josephs says that no permits will be granted for entertainment in crime hotspots in Westmoreland. Westmoreland, where Negril is located, is a large parish. Negril is not a crime hotspot so the permit ban would not apply.
