Restaurants within "safe" walking distance from Home Sweet Home
We are staying at Home Sweet Home in December. I was wondering what good restaurants are within "safe" wanting distance from the resort.
Thanks in advance!

We often eat at Chicken Lavish and Pablo's. Sometimes at Qualtiy's Seafood and usually have him drive us back to HSH.

Options to the north (heading to town) are the same as those listed in the "Canoe Area" post. In addition you have the Blue Mahoe at Ocean Cliff Resort.
To the south you have Begona's, Pablo's and Ciao.
Both are around a 5 minute walk. By using the Negril Map link in the Menu above, you can see everything nearby as well as the walking distance.

Thanks! Looking forward to our first stay on the cliffs after so many beach stays!

Embark on a culinary voyage at Begona Cliff Hotel, one of Negril's hidden gems. With a fusion of Jamaican and international flavors, this enchanting Kitchen offers a symphony of mouthwatering delights. Indulge in delectable dishes like Jerk Chicken, Rasta Pasta Alfredo, Ackee and Saltfish, and seasonal seafood, while overlooking the stunning Caribbean Sea and its captivating sunset. The rhythmic melodies of reggae and jazz set the perfect ambiance for this eating experience where passion and taste collide!.

Ciao has very good pizza. Pablos is good for local cuisine. 3 Dives Jerk is a little less than a mile walk and though wait times can be long there the vibe of the grounds is fun with a beautiful view of the ocean. If you get that far then you have the options of Push Cart or Rockhouse. Rockhouse is a nice upscale option but Blue Mahoe is right by you and also is a nice upscale option. For a little lower price point you have Sips n Bites just after Rockhouse.

Ha, define "safe." :) Walking to Xtabi and Canoe are both reasonable walks from HSH. There are a handful of spots along the way in both directions.

Nobody wants to mess up their car. So make driving easy for them.
Safe is walking single file, FACING TRAFFIC, day or night. At night don't wear dark clothing. A flashlight is not a bad idea.
At a narrow spot with cars approaching you from both directions, stop walking and get close to the property wall.
Pretty much common sense ideas. You will be fine. Hundreds of thousands of visitors walk without issue every year.

Yep, I started carrying a small flashlight. Super helpful! Hope you are well Rob.

Lots of good suggestions so far. I'll add Swordfish for a dinner option, ask for a table upstairs so you have an ocean view. I'll also add Patsies for Ice Cream or a dessert drink to the list. If you go to Patsies be sure to take your order to their back deck. It has a nice ocean view and is a lovely spot to take in the night. I've heard the restaurant at Home Sweet Home is operating again. Over the years that has changed a few times as people who rent out the space from the hotel have come and gone but as of last week they were operational. For a nice upscale dinner Rockhouse is about a mile walk. For a budget meal Sips and Bites is about the same distance. Also I saw Quality Sea Breeze was mentioned. Along with having some great seafood they have live reggae some nights and also offer a free shuttle so you should definitely schedule them one night. I believe Tuesday and Sunday nights they have live music that starts around 7PM. (876)584-9030 is their phone number for the shuttle.
