Not Negril related but important to our iPhone users
If you have an iPhone and have iOS17 (upgrade or brand new phone) on it, there is a feature than really should have been defaulted to Off. It is called NameDrop and allows other iPhone users to capture your contact information simply by being close enough to your phone. The default setting is On.
The article below has instructions to turn it off, which is simple enough. The article is more of a warning about children and predators, but I feel this is an issue especially during the holiday season when you are in crowds and also in the airport when you are coming here.
The problem should not be much of a risk here as the vast majority of phones are Android. But in the USA, this does pose an issue that can easily be remedied.
