JFK (Ny) to MBJ construction and delays question

Hi there I'm going to be booking my flights soon from New York. I like flying out of JFK because of the direct flights however I'm thinking about flying out of LaGuardia (but no direct flights) so my question is if anyone reading this has flown out of JFK lately with the construction is it that big of a hassle? I usually get to the airport three hours ahead of time should I allocate more time if flying out of JFK I'm just worried about being stuck in traffic my flight would be early morning so I would arrive when TSA pre-open at 4:30 AM thanks for any advice

Hi Deanna! I flew out of JFK to MBJ with the girls in July via JetBlue. We had a very early flight as well. We were dropped off by a friend and he was able to navigate the airport pretty easily but definitely give yourself extra time to arrive. I don?t remember us encountering any problems getting around the construction. Sorry I can?t be of more help.

I did this recently with no issues at all.

Good to know I usually get there three hours early anyway
