We took a couple of route taxi's up to Home Sweet Home to see how they were doing. Charlie, the owner was there with another friend and Dean replacing some windows. Nik was also there setting up some small solar panels and starlink connections. Without electric they are not ready for visitors. They should be ready for guests soon after power is restored, but you may or may not be able to stay in your favorite room, but they are working on it. Chicken Lavish is still shut down and said they would open as soon as electric is on. Quality is still working on his place but we didn't see him today. Vinnie's will be open soon. They had some major roof work to do which is now complete. They just need a littel paintd of and course electric. We bumped into Monroe, an old timer who live on the west end. Near Corner Bar a guy come up and told me it was his birthday. Well, I've heard that story at least a dozen times, so I asked him what was the date today. "November?" Just then a 30's something Jamaican walked by and said "November 21" and just chuckled he walked by knowing what was going on. Then the guy asked me for a drink, so I offered him the bottle of water I was drinking. Yeah, that wasn't what he wanted. As he kept pestering us I turned around and loudly told him that he was the reason people won't come back to Jamaica. Locals don't like hearing things like that so I hope he got a talking to from those who heard. Also, we stopped into My Yard and Delroy and Pablo send their best and can't wait to see VVHT soon
Regards,
Bob
