Scuba
I think it is time I tried scuba, the snorkeling has always been good. Where should I do this or who should I talk to on the beach? I have not scuba(ed) before but have tried it for 5 minutes in a resort pool. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Rooms in 2 days, yah mon!!!!!!!

HI, I am new to the forum, but not new to Negril. I am currently in negril for a few months. When you get here, give Sid a call at 386-3166 and he can line you up with a reputable scuba instructor

I went scuba(ing?) last reach with (Im pretty sure his name was) Ken from the place next to the German Bar.
Total beginner lesson then dive for like 80 beans... I loved it, its like snorkling on roids

Negril Scuba Center is no longer on the beach although I am sure they will pick you up. Ken is the operator of Dream Team Divers at Mary's Bay. They'll also pick you up. Contact info... www.dreamteamdiversjamaica.com

Marine Life Divers is an awesome dive operation that has locations on the beach and cliffs. They primarily operate out of Samsara and will give you free transportation. I've used Marine Life Divers for quite a bit of dive training on my quest for Dive Master.....which I am very close in attaining. Armin makes sure you dive safe.....he makes sure you have FUN!

Marine Life Divers. For sure the best place from the beach location or Samsara. Listen to mr. twister.

Sun Divers were the first ones that ever took me out for snorkeling and they were great with me as a newbie in Negril. Also, ask Capt. Mike on the beach - he has a glass bottom boat usually moored near White Sands. He and his brother Ricky are couple of the nicest guys you could ask to meet on the 7 mile beach. They will steer you to the right people.
