wish mi could be there again........
Marlin....most say it's most like swordfish. It's similar to swordfish only in appearance but not really in anything else. Marlin is a nice juicy steak of fish. It doesn't smell like fish and it hardly tastes like fish. It's not as oily or fishy as swordfish. The only catch with Marlin is that you have to eat it when it's hot or warm after cooking. You don't want to have to try to chew on a piece of Marlin once it becomes cool/cold after cooking or it's like chewing gum. Smoked Marlin can be out of this world. The only fish I really don't care for in Jamaica is Skipjack as it's a real acquired taste.....and then some.....lol....too bad that's all mi catch sometimes.
Cool Runnings, Marko

I LOVE the smoked marlin that you can get in Negril. It seldom shows up on menus of restaurants at home. Hmmm with some onions and capers, oh my!
