Question about Catcha Falling Star

My husband and I are taking our first trip together w/o children in July, and I want it to be everything plus a bag of chips! We are staying at Catcha, and we have the Venus booked (Libra & Sagi were sadly taken). I was curious as to whether we should switch to a downstairs unit, such as Sun? I want to make sure I can see the ocean, but I also am worried about sitting on my balcony and having someone smoking under me. (No offense to smokers, I just don't like it) Also, how is the road noise in these rooms?

Just looking for opinions... :p

I have stayed in Venus and loved it. Great view from your balcony and I never encountered any problem with smoke. Catcha is a magical place that you will enjoy. The food is wonderful and the sunsets are incredible. I never noticed any road noise, just a rooster in the morning every now and then.

We've stayed in Venus twice and enjoyed it. We didn't hear any road noise at all. Can't control the smoke - that could come from downstairs or next door but we never had that issue. Enjoy!

I've stayed at 80% of the units at Catcha and loved everyone of them. Sagi is my favorite, but I will admit that it is a challenge in July with the heat and no air. The ceiling fan and free standing fan helps a lot, not to mention the ocean breeze, but if can be extremely hot during the day. The unit next to the office is the only room that you will hear the road traggic. All other rooms are far enough back that I have never heard it. You have a view of the ocean pretty much everywhere. I started staying in Catha when it was an upscale hippie resort, and now it is very upscale. It has always been quite and the food is awesome. Andrea at the office is so kind and professional..she will take good care of you. I dont stay there as much as I use to because of the escalated cost, but I always go there for dinner and drinks every visit to Jamaica. You will never regret going there if you like peace and quiet and great food. I can give you any information you need if you have further questions. Just reach out to me.
