Supermoon this Saturday!

Skywatchers take note: The biggest full moon of the year is due to arrive this weekend.

The moon will officially become full Saturday (May 5) at 11:35 p.m. EDT. And because this month's full moon coincides with the moon's perigee — its closest approach to Earth — it will also be the year's biggest.


Rob, Lisa, any boardies in Negril this Saturday, please, please try to take some pictures and post them here.
I've seen one Supermoon a few years ago while driving to West Virginia. It was so huge, it looked fake, like something out of a Hollywood movie.
I'm hoping for clear skies in the Midwest.
