I BELIEVE IN MY TUMMY THAT IM MEANT TO FIND FUN NOT RESTRICTIONS WHEN I RETURN TO NEGRIL. I WAS OGING TO STAY SOMEWHERE BUT HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY PAS VISITORS THAT THE OWNER COULD CAQTCH AN ATTITUDE IF I GOD FORBID MET PEOPLE AND WANTED TO BRING THEM BACK TO WHERE IM STAYING.. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOL TIME TO REASSESS ONCE AGAIN! LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.... NOT LOOKING FOR ALL INCLUSIVE BUT LOOKING FOR NON EXSPENSIVE WHERE IM "ALLOWED" TO MEET PEOPLE LOLOL.... SUGGESTION FELLOW NEGRILIANS?
Re: Update negril august 2012
Most places you can bring people back but if its over night then you pay a fee as most rooms are for double occupancy and you pay only for yourself so it is only fair they charge you for the extra person tho its not usually to much 20- 25 night
Re: Update negril august 2012
See i wasnt even talking about people staying the night. Im talking just to come sit and have drinks or visit me. But its all good ill keep looking. Thank you for your response becca
Re: Update negril august 2012
Hi Sheba - first thank you for not calling out any certain property as each one has its own way of doing business and deserve the right to run it how they want. That shows real class gyal. It is a struggle for businesses to survive in many cases.
I know its frustrating and I agree people should be free to go where they want. Some properties though keep things private for other guests or may have had bad experiences with too many visitors. Tons of properties to consider though and in my experience "most" I have stayed at allow "guests" as long as they check in the office (at least the first few times). If there is a security guard then usually after a time or two of checking in they will know its cool. But some places are more strict and must have guests sign in. Other places are more informal. So for me anyway Security is #1 so I find places with that and still able to have visitors. I have always had visitors where I stay so I think the majority allow them.
Let us know if you need help on ideas where to stay and is local friendly - just let us know your basic budget and preferences and we will be glad to help you find a wonderful place. ONE LOVE sister.

Hi Sheba--try blue cave castle--they're very cool about visitors, great security-good location-and property has excellent views right on cliffs..Staff are very friendly and Teddy has his restaurant there-great food....Good rates, esp off season...
Re: Update negril august 2012
personally, i don't want unregistered guests wandering through the property that i'm staying at . . . if i wanted that, i'd stay at roots or jah b's . . .
Re: Update negril august 2012
Sorry you took offense Sheba but the part you may of missed with my post was that "IF" it was over night........As the rest said as long as they check in there should be no issues for the most part.Email the places or call and find out.
Re: Update negril august 2012
On the beach I usually stay at Hidden Paradise and it's no problem there...stayed at Catcha Gardens on the cliffs last reach and they were Ok with visitors as well. Hope this helps!
Re: Update negril august 2012
usually if they are Jamaican owned they are usually pretty guest friendly for the most part..............
more upscale a resort is, the less likely they are guest friendly...........
AI's are not guest friendly........a lot of places directly on da beach are not guest friendly........
most places on da Cliffs are guest friendly except for like Caves, Catcha Falling Star, Tensing Pen, etc etc........
be prudent when you have guests in your room as things apt to walk away sometimes so please use dat safe.......lol
even if you think they are going to be your future spouse.........lol
Cool Runnings, Marko
