Question re: Booking via orbitz.com

Hello everyone,

I will be traveling to Negril the first week of September and a friend will be joining me from NC. I'm already booked out of JFK at a good rate but prices are high from NC to MBJ. I figured if I am gonna book my friend's flight in advance at a higher rate it would be nice to book through Orbitz since they offer "Price Assurance". Has anyone ever used Orbitz and received a refund if the price of the flight is reduced and another passenger books at the lower rate before your departure date?

I'm just afraid that if she waits then the flights may fill-up and last time I checked many are more 50% filled already. Thanks.

Just because a flight shows seats unavailable does not necessarily mean they are sold yet. Many airlines hold seats to be sold at a later time at a higher rate. Especially the more preferred seats.
