Nice Rob!! A couple we met from Canada (that spend 3 months a year in Negril) told us about this place. They raved about it!!! I've already talked with Kingsley about taking another route to Negril from Mobay...just so we can stop there to eat. Have about 6 months more to wait, but so anxious to try it out. Thanks for keeping us updated on places all over Jamaica!!:)
Attachment 15615Attachment 15616I've been to Border Jerk Center a couple of times. It's the real deal! Jerk chicken, pork and fish, soup, cold drinks. If you have a car rental or scooter rental it makes a nice day trip for lunch. I usually allow about three to four leisurely hours round trip (including time for stops, picture taking and of course to enjoy lunch). Better yet, combine a lunch stop with another south coast adventure.
If you leave Negril around 10am(ish) you should be at Border Jerk right at lunch time. Prices are quite a bit lower than Negril prices. Round trip from Negril, it's about 100km. Look for Mackfield on a map.
