Ernesto looks to be going far south of Jamaica - we will be getting some rain and winds - but nothing more than a typical storm here in the Carib...
NOW HEAR THIS!!!!!
As I posted three days ago Enesto will be at least 90 nautical miles (105 statute miles) South of The South coast of JA. Wind forecast at the 1100 prog is now less that 20 kts.

Rob, so glad to hear!
my family and friends think I'm crazy because I am concerned about the TS!! When they where talking about it on the news this morning and they mention something about West Jamaica I screamed OH NO NOT NEGRIL!!!!!! LOL
ha Luvs, that was exactly my reaction too! We were out to breakfast and caught a glimpse of the weather report on the cafe's tv.
I'm going to Negril the last week of August. Does the fact that Ernesto is forming now make it less likely that another will form later this month?

Not to alarm anyone but a hurricane forming leave a void behind their path where another tropical system has less resistance and an easier chance to form.
Next week we will be talking about Florence I suppose and that has a REAL chance to be nasty. Hope not though.
Peace and Guidance
All I know is that my plane better get me there on Wednesday!
