New Moon Cottages
Back in the 80's and 90's I lived and frequently visited New Moon Cottages which were owned by Doris and Richard Malcom. I'm wondering if anyone knows or remembers them. They had guest cottages and a campground on the cliffs. The location was near Peewee's and Jenny's cakes. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: New Moon Cottages
David actually owns the property now. His cousin who also lives on the property is a good friend of mine. Rooms are basic, but have cable tv, fans (no air) and are very clean. They also have full shared kitchens for your use. They no longer have camping on the grounds and haven't for several years.

Re: New Moon Cottages
We stayed with Doris and Richard several times in the 70's and have many great memories of New Moon. About once a week, Richard would stir up a delicious rum punch. They had a couple of German Shepherds that wouldn't let any Jamaicans they didn't know into the yard, but somehow they were friendly to the guests. Doris was a Justice of the Peace and the police would bring a crime breaker to her to do something formal before they took them to jail. Next door was Johnno who took care of us in our adventures around Negril. Across the street was not developed and we jumped from the cliffs and swam there. In my memory it was a wonderful time
Some years ago I heard that Richard and Johnno had passed, but Doris was living somewhere in Negril.

Re: New Moon Cottages
I checked it out a couple times 2-3 years ago, I liked the vibe of David and the property. Nice that the buildings are set back from the road. Also has a setup for hand-laundry there.
