Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
Sandals has once again put us at Grand Pineapple (I say once again because this is where we were originally, but they have moved us 4 times)
Is snorkeling an extra charge at the GP? I see two different things on their website.
One says:
Watersports
Celebrate the sun, as
you snorkel, sail, kayak
and windsurf to your
heart's content in the
crystalline, aquamarine
sea.
The other says:
Snorkeling and Scuba Diving are not included but are provided at an extra cost at Sandals Negril or Beaches Negril.
So I am assuming you can snorkel to your hearts content as long as you pay for it.
Any info from others that have been there?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
No one seems to be answering you so I'll give you my two cents; anything with a motor is extra, boat ride with motor to snorkel is extra, snorkling off the beach is not extra money, they let you use the gear from the beach shop.
Re: Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
Thanks for the reply. That's what I "assumed".
Re: Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
We stayed there the past few years and if you want to snorkel they send you to sandals. it cost 15.00.When your at sandals you can drink or eat stay as long as you like.
Re: Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
Thanks Tony! is that $15 per person? There are 8 in our family so that could be an expensive snorkeling trip!
Re: Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
As an alternative, you could check the glass bottom boat "Ocean King" that is stationed in front of Caribbean Delight (the property just to the left as you go out to the beach). I am pretty sure they would give you a much better rate for your group (although I would suggest you use the snorkling equipment which you can borrow for free from GP as they would have more sizes and probably newer equipment).

Good idea BCBud. Thanks for the suggestion!
Re: Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
My wife seems to remember 15.00 for both, we thought it was to cover the cab ride. You could email G.P. at jgordon@grp.sandals.com Mr.Gordon is the general manager, nice guy.
Re: Grand Pineapple Resort snorkeling
Thanks Tony. I'll do just that!
