Why?
During our July 2012 trip to Negril, it seemed that the beach buoys were in so much closer on the beach, than in 2011.
I saw this at Rooms on the Beach(Where I've swam to Alfred' platform) and RIU Palace...
Did anyone notice this?
Looking at the beach sand pictures Rob posted, I noticed how close the white buoys seem to be to shore.
Do the resorts decide how far their buoys are from shore?

Re: Why?
Ya, everytime a jet ski flies past, they move it in closer. At BB barn or mom's place, there are no buoys at all, if I recall .....

Re: Why?
no law or rule where they are, just put there by resort......"recommended" swimming safety zone..ya shure:)

Re: Why?
I hear ya Jerry,lol... Rambo, I hear you too. It's sad that there is no "recommended" standard distance for all resorts, as
it seemed we had about 50% less swim zone in front of both resorts this Summer... I love walking way out and the water barely coming to my neck.
This Summer at the rope, the water was just past my navel, Ugggg! I thought there might be a rope "shortage" or something,lol...
Happy Travels...

Re: Why?
In most TRAIL OF ASHES postings, I generally come to the same phrase of "pushing your limits" on vacation .... I do this on land and in the ocean sometimes by floating my toes into jet-ski territory ... Generally, no one messes with me ... Was once snorkeling in Bloody Bay near the point with an glass-boat operator and some European fool on a jet-skill flew along right near me, never even knew WTF he was doin' ....
