Trip report Nov. 30 dec. 14

Been to Negril every year since 1980 since I retired in as a teacher in 98 twice a year.

Nov. 30 Spirit flight from Ft. Lauderdale was 2 hours late almost never on time. Got through customs very fast first one in line. Then waited an hour for my checked bag it was put on the wrong carrosel. Clives was waiting with a cold red stripe off to Negril with my always stop at Biggas in Green Island. Arrived at Barrys 3 hours later then planned but all was good Marsha was waiting we went to Value Master for some supplies for the frig. went to Bar b Barn for dinner.

Dec. 1 took my 5 mile run the beach was so much wider than in August . I usually spend the day at the beach at Irie Vibes by Roots Bamboo they play great music. Back to room around 12:30 for a patty, red stripe and splif this is an everyday event. Dinner at Fatties who I hadn't seen in a couple of years she was in Canada.

Dec 2 walk to Cosmos then the usual. Dinner at Coconut Int.

Dec 3. Marsha was renovating her old house in Silver Spring, spent most of the day there it is coming along nice. I love walking around the neighborhood everyone is so friendly. Ate dinner at Seafood on the Road in front of Barrys its is great inexpensive and many times no seafood but the curried goat is very good. Went to Roots Bamboo for reggea show good crowd local and tourist.

Dec 4 the usual run and beach. Dinner lobster at Aunties Thrill Corner between Treehouse and Sea Splash the lobsters are in a cage in the sea, you pick could not be fresher good price .

Dec 5. Met a female cop from Holland who was in Negril for a couple on months at Irie Vibes learned a lot about the ganga laws there. She had the longest dreadlocks I have seen on a white girl very interesting to talk to. Dinner at Bar b Barn.

Dec.6 usual day Dinner at 3-Stars on One-Mile. Food is fantastic and very inexpensive large portions 1300 j for 2 with drinks included.

Dec 7 usual; Canoe for dinner we both had lion fish for the first time it was really good.

Dec 8 took our once a trip walk from Barrys to Hedo on beach. Saw a friend I hadn't seen in 8 years who used to be the tennis pro at Beaches Sandy Bay he has had some hard times is now selling fruit by Our Pastime.
On way back had a patty from Aunties Trill Corner and a beer the coldest on the beach at Tonys Hut whch always has great music playing this summer it was almost a swim up bar now there is some beach in front of it.
That night we did the buffet and show at Sea Star great show. Can't be beat for $20 a person including transportation from the beach.

Dec. 9 beach, football in room in afternoon Seafood on the Road for dinner.

Dec. 10 beach run 3-Stars for dinner. Show at Roots Bamboo.

Dec 11 the usual ; Fatties for dinner that evening went to the bar at Yellow Bird good 2 for 1 drinks very nice young lady bartender.

Dec 12 Marsha is fixing-up her old house went hardware store in Little London for some needed supplies then spent some time at her house in Mango Hall. Had dinner at Bar b Barn.

Dec 13 the usual day, dinner at Seafood on the Road, went to the show at Bourbon Beach.

Dec 14 Clives arrived on time 10am for drive to airport. Spirit was delayed again left at 3pm instead of 1:30. Looking forward to my August trip can't get off work till then.

how was your stay at Barrys?

Barrys is great it is a Jamaican yard. I feel like everyone is looking out for me. Budda the yard guy and Jennifer who cleans the rooms couldn't be better people. I have known Barry since he was a boy.
