Early morning sunrise on the beach & getting a cab before sunrise

Hello All, I'm down to the single digits now (only 9 more sleeps) & of course all I can think and talk about is what I'm going to do once I get to beautiful Negril. This year I want to try and get some photos of the sun coming up on the beach. I have "heard" that sometimes their are horses on the beach in the early morning. I really really want to get some photos of horses on the beach while the sun is coming up. Does anyone know if horses do run on the beach early morning, if so is their a certain area I should head to? Does anyone know if I should be able to walk to the main street (staying at Seastar) and be able to catch a cab to the beach before sun up. Any advise, photos, stories or help is greatly appreciated.
