I am considering renting a car to go for a tour while in JA. We are considering using Vernon's Car rentals at Fun Holiday, but have to been able to get in touch with them. multiple e-mails have not been returned and I have some questions regarding the insurance that tey carry, if my CC has insurance do they accept it, do thier rentals include third party insurance. and a few more. Anyone have any answers? Thanks friends :)
Walley, I happened to check out the Island Rentals web site from Mo Bay and they lay out their policy and requirements quite well. I don't think Vernon's requirements would be much different including your CC question.Hope this helps.I dialed in a three day rental delivered and picked up (small car) insured to the eyeballs for $320us. The car was cheap but the insurance and delivery/pickup made up the rest.
Most Credit Cards specifically exclude JA from their rental car CDW waiver (along with Ireland and Israel).
I know one that does cover the CDW is a World MasterCard. Cuts the rental cost about in half by saving the $30/day CDW.
But that is to cover their car if damaged or stolen.
Don't forget about Liability. From what I have read, Island includes that in their rental fee - don't know about other agencies.
