There is a thread running on the TA board about the water issues currently in Negril and the drought Some say they run out in the evenings, some say the west end runs out a lot, others report no shortage at all. Any first hand reports?

There was no running water more time than there was running water when we were down.
Can you shower in Red Stripe? I'd bet there is no shortage there.
I see there is an existing thread on this subject, sorry for the dup.
I showered in the ocean. I was cool with it. I would see if you can get a bucket or something to fill with water in case you need to drop a deuce. That's what we did.
No issues at all on our trip to Nirvana, just got back Wed from an 11 night trip.
Generally, the water pressure is low in most of Negril, even during the best of times. Seastar Inn has good pressure ...
I've been here on the beach for 2 weeks and haven't had any problems at all. I can't vouch for the cliffs though. Maybe someone up there can "pipe" in.
It seems like I've heard this before and it was resolved that there was by no means any "drought" but hotels without water accumulators suffered from sporadic water pressure.
Just returned, stayed at Pure Garden Resort....absolutely loved my stay...there were times during the day when the water trickled, and times when it was on full blast. No consistent time pattern.
