Sunset After Dark location
Seen a few comments lately about food at Sunset after Dark (brandy snapper???)
Where is this place? Never heard of it, though have not been to Negril in a few years. Need to update my head to new places to try when we return.
Need to get my countdown clock going!!!
Re: Sunset After Dark location
Sunset has been there going into its 3rd year on Westend Road about 5 mins from the roundabout / 2 mins from the HI/Lo 1 min. from the all Ages school and right across the street from Negril Hardware & Haberdashery.. Say hey to Chef/Owner Patrick and tell him Negril.com sent you his way and you want to see what all the fuss is about with his food.!! I swear by his Fish dishes (Brandy Snapper is too die for) and the famous 1 pound burger. Enjoy and send us back a review telling us how you liked it..!!
Re: Sunset After Dark location
Damn - Forgot to say look them up on FB for photos of their dishes and announcements of coming events..!

My wiife and I ate there twice in Dec. the food was great . Patrick is a wonderful chef. His 2lb. lobster was great only 2400.00 J.

Re: Sunset After Dark location
OK, it has been three years. Is it closer to town than Canoe? What did Sunset after Dark replace? Trying to figure out what building it is in....German place? Yacht Club?

Yes it is closer to town than Canoe. Not German place or NYC. Maybe this will help.Attachment 21963
Re: Sunset After Dark location
It's towards the bottom of the hill .... There was a good buzz on this place when I was there -- several told me the food was excellent excellent excellent (I never got a chance to eat there). Plus, they have karaoke weekly on Weds nights, and I hear it's a popular spot among expats.
Me, I had to shake my head when the pub crawl rolled through and they had no ingredients for rum punch. The ONE day they're flush with customers, so I was a bit shocked they were not better prepared. But you know tourists in Negril, no one cared one bit. They just drank red stripe ....
Re: Sunset After Dark location
By any chance was the brandy snapper boneless, or was it a whole fish?
Re: Sunset After Dark location
Yes the Brandy Snapper is Boneless and is SO GOOD..He also brought down a mess of 100% Alberta Striploin Steaks (He is from Edmonton) and my Wife had one and said it just melted in your mouth ! Patrick does catering back in Canada and also is involved in Farmers Market there with home made Patties (inculding Jerk Chicken & pulled Pork) and a history of eorking with big Hotels on Banquet staff. He knows his stuff.!
