Wish this snow was sand,,
Good day all, I live up here in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and we got blasted big time.
about 3-4 feet of it, piled everywhere now. But the good news my wife and I are
heading to Point Village the first couple of weeks of April. As newbies to Negril, of
course I have a few ? Looking at the map, can one walk from the beach in Point Village
along the 7 mile beach, or do you have to go over around hedo? Also where would the
best place for us to grab some groceries when we arrive? Thanks all for your answers and
now back to dreaming these snow banks are waves,,
Re: Wish this snow was sand,,
From PV you can walk the shore line through Hedo (or at least you used to be able to). We've gone around and walked the water. It's um..interesting. :) You could either have your driver stop in MoBay at Mega Mart or wait until you get to Negril and go to the HiLo. We used to go to PV when they were a resort. My little brother was married there. It's a great place. Enjoy!
Re: Wish this snow was sand,,
I'm feeling your pain about the snow! We didn't get the big dump that you guys just got, but it has been piling up all winter long. It is a big sea of white here in Winnipeg.
If you have a private driver from the airport, you can get them to stop just about anywhere you want to on the way to Negril or once you are in Negril.
Hope you fall in love with Negril as we all have!
I'll let you get back to dreaming now .........

Hello. I am a Part Time Islander, summers in Wood Islands.
I find the HiLo in Negril just perfect to pick up some groceries. It is not a huge store like the Mega MArt but they have everything you need there and more, including beer, wine and liquor. And there is a Cambio right there to change your CDN into Jamaican
