Yikes!!
The wife and I are having a great time thus far. I am terribly sunburnt. Feeling better this morning finally after soaking in aloe. Wasn't even out in the sun long, usually this never happens. Today I am going to try to stay out of the sun at all costs to give my body a full day of recovery. Besides aloe, anyone have any other ideas as to help make the skin beta? Ya mon

Re: Yikes!!
I actually ended up in the hospital in MoBay on my very first day and trip to Jamaica...with 3rd degree from tip of head to tip of toes. Needless to say, I have NEVER done that again. But, some local lady actually squeezed out the gel from an aloe plant and rubbed it on me. It's a lot different than the stuff you buy in a store. She then actually put some in a bottle for me to keep. Between that and a couple of Aleve, the pain was fairly manageable.

Re: Yikes!!
Even though you may sit in the shade today, still cover up. Long sleeve shirt, long pants, hat and wear your SUNSCREEN. The shade will not stop the sun from penetrating, it will be less but there is still reflection from the sand and what comes through the shade trees. You will most likely peel so be sure you keep the sunscreen applied.

Apply a cool milk compress - it helps keep it moisturized - whole milk only.

Re: Yikes!!
Find some aloe and put it in the fridge on a plate. When it is good and chilled, cut it into inch long pieces, then split down the middle and squeeze onto your burn. Get ready for heaven. I hope you feel better!!!
