2 Bedroom on Beach, Advice Desperately Needed
A longtime lurker and lover of this board is needing advice. Only other addicts like me know how traumatic a change from the routine can be. A little background, we are bringing my wifes sister, a 1st timer, with us next January for 10 days. We felt she would be most comfortable staying with us on her first visit. A few must haves, must be 2nd story and must have a private balcony, must have beach shade available. We have gone with others before and stayed at NBCC dozens of times over the last 25 years but really want to move to mid beach. My wife and I tried Firefly during a quick trip in November and loved the location and the funky feel (no judgement please, our clothes remained on). Wanting something a little more upscale and mainstream this trip and was hoping to do it on a $300 a day budget which I know probably won't cut it.
I thought I had decided on Coco La Palm's 2 bedrooms but learned they are part of an older resort. Ocean view isn't an option with these rooms. Pictures I have found don't show any thing that looks like a private balcony. It looks more like a long common porch leading to the rooms with chairs sitting along it. Has anyone stayed that can verify this?
Second choice was Beachcomber. Ocean view possible, private balcony but reviews talk about it needing some updating which I can deal with. I worry about the amount of shade available for my wife of the beach. So question here is shade on the beach?? Has anyone stayed at both??
Rondel was my other thought but the beach was smaller there and just felt tight when we walked by. I don't think ocean view is availble in the two bedrooms.
I really appreciate and help and advice before I push the button. Forgot to mention that I am going to contact Negri One Stop but you guys are who I feel I know and trust. Attempting my first photo attachment, hope it worked!

How about Nirvana or Gatehouse Villa.

Heater, thanks for the suggestion. I'll look at them both.

Marley9808, looked at Beach House Villas and they great just out of my budget.

Also, Seasand Ecovillas. Idle Awhile has a beautiful Suite, it's only one bedroom but there's a queen sized day bed in the living room and a huge terrace also full kitchen. Sorry, it's Gate house villa, not Moongate.

i have stayed in the Coco inn two bedroom suite. its very spacious but does not have a private balcony however, we found it to have enough privacy for the four of us.

Heater, Seasand Eco Villas sound interesting but a bit big for just 3 of us. I've been in an Idle Awhile suite and they are amazing.
Thanks Nori. That is what I wanted to know about Coco. My wife spends a lot of her day reading on the balcony and wouldn't enjoy other walking by. It's looking like Beachcomber is now the front runner. I would like to hear opinions on Rondel.

I don't have a ton of current info, but I stayed at Beachcomber about 6 years ago in a 2 bedroom suite. It was the one closest to the bar on the 2nd floor. It was great! I am sure saying that today they need some updating would be very accurate. However the location was good and the balcony was great! There are about 4 or five thatch umbrellas on the beach for shade, which always seems to be enough since there are never many guests staying there. I know some people who stayed there about 2 months ago and enjoyed it. I think this place might be a good match for you.
