Xtabi vs. Negril Escape

We are looking for a room with a kitchenette and would like one of these 2 places because we have to be close to the DeBar for our evening ritual of belly full of beers with a short stumble home. The rooms at Negril Escape look small with no room for clothes, but that is a slight problem. Can anyone recommend specific rooms or have pics of there experiences at either resort? Any info on the breakfast offered at Negril E? We only like the kitchen for our first cup of morning wake-up and to reheat stuff( I drink too many beers and can't eat all the food). Does anyone know if snorkeling is better at one or the other? Thanks, we need a change in hotels and really appreciate everyones input.

We have actually stayed at both places and I would recommend both definitely.
Both great locations, both have great staff and Negril Escape is Jamaican family owned

However I never stayed in one of the rooms with a kitchen at Xtabi, I have only stayed in the superior rooms but was more than pleased with them.
At Negril Escape I stayed in Jamrock in one of the two room suites with kitchen. There was more than enough room. A closet and a dresser. I have also seen the inside of many rooms there and they all seem pretty nice.
The breakfast at Negril Escape is a buffet if they have multiple people staying there. If not, then you just order whatever you want off the menu.
I would say they both have pretty good snorkeling, Negril escape might be just a bit better and of course you have the lighthouse to jump from (if you dare) lol
I would say the food and bar is better at Xtabi

Both are pretty good choices, I don't think you can go wrong!

Maybe I am a wuss when it comes to walking, but I would not say that Xtabi is easy stumbling distance from De Bar?

I agree Sam I Am, not even sure Negril Escape is so, we may end up having to taxi back or drink a few less but we love that place and have made alot of friends there.

Ok I was not totally sure since I'm a beach dweller but I wanted to make sure you knew you might not be able to walk it :)
