Our brother's keeper - it's about karma
Just returned. So many stories. I'll start here:
We are our brother's keeper....So we head off for a long walk on the beach, Lee's got his waist pack, which I forget to close as we meander along the water - for miles, finally stop for a beer at a little beach bar, and realize that his wallet is no longer in our pack. Bummer. Better head back and take care of business (cancel credit cards, etc.). As we are walking back, a local guy comes running up the beach yelling "Are you Lee?" (his photo ID is in his wallet and he is very identifiable). "We been looking for you, mon. Someone found your wallet!". He sprints back in the other direction, passes the news onto the next guy and the next, until another local guy comes running up waving Lee's wallet. "I been looking and looking for you, it's wet but here mon". Wallet completely in tact and his reminder to us, "We are our brothers keeper, mon". The next day our hero was proudly donning his new Packers shirt on the beach. Yep, our brothers keeper - so simple if we could just all live by that.

Very nice...wouldn't it be great if we heard more stories like this instead of just the bad stuff ?
Re: Our brother's keeper - it's about karma
Love hearing this kinda stuff! Too often people are quick to talk about the negative and place blame on others.
What a great story! Thanks for sharing :)

Nice, thanks for sharing.
I take 2 pair clip on sunglasses with me. Almost every trip I leave a pair somewhere, a store, resturant, or beach chair. Sometime I don't even remember where I left them cause I take them off after sunset. The good thing is that they always find their way back to me, I'll retrace my steps a day or 2 later and someone will have kept them for me.

Time to go home and stopped at the Bobsled in MBJ Airport. Sit at a table on the outside along the walkway and decide we want to move to the inside because no one was serving us. Left my purse behind. About 1/2 hr later one of the waitresses came to our table and said "Is this yours?". I didn't even realize it wasn't with me.
