Looking for a cottage/room for one night stay mid beach Negril

I have been pushing Negril to a couple of girlfriends of mine for a few years now. They just booked an AI in Runaway Bay but would like to go to Negril for one night to check out the area. I would assume many places have a minimum night stay of 3+. Can anyone suggest a cottage that would accept for one night only?
Also how much should they be looking at fare wise for a driver from Runaway to Negril?

Gonna have to suggest Wild Parrot...many cottages and I don't think only one night would be an issue. Great bar and food on site. Not quite mid beach but close to Sunbeach, CoCo, ect...

Actually most places in Negril will have no problem with a one night stay if you call and book direct with them. I would recommend Charela Inn or Negril Treehouse for nice reasonable rooms.

dem will all take a reservation for one night.........everyone and everybody........lol
but that Runaway to Negril ride is gonna be a haul and a half......and gonna cost sumthin too......
heck you are on vacation so who really cares..........lol

Thanks everyone. Yes I think the far to and from Runaway is going to be VERY expensive. At the very least $200 I would guess.

would be real easy to do local taxi's to negril . . . and real cheap, especially since they will no virtually no luggage . . . . just a suggestion

Thanks Jitterbug, however I don't think they would be able to do route taxis. They have only done AI's in JA so not accustomed to the goings on outside the resorts so much.

the Knutsford Express stops in Falmouth, St Ann , Montego Bay and Negril..it would be doable and costs about US $16 one way per person in an a/c coach
