After a couple of days on the cliffs it was time to move to the beach. Our move was to Merrils I, however when we arrived they sent us over to Merrils II as they were closing I. It was no probelm as they are both pretty much equal in accommodations. Here's a few images from our stay on the beach.

I am considering Merrill's , did you do the AI plan? I am curious on the drinks and food included, Ok so maybe more the drinks then anything. LOL Any info would be great, the property looks beautiful.
The property in most of those pictures is Margaritaville, though......right?

A couple of you have asked about Merrils. This was my fourth stay at Merrils hotels. I have stayed at MI once, and M2 three times. I have never stayed at Merrils 3 nor has it ever been open when I visited however I have always visited in the off season. To me, Merrils has always been very good value, and in an excellent location. The rooms have always been clean and if something needed fixing it has always been promptly attended to. The bar is open from 10 AM to 10 PM. To be honest I don't really know what drinks are included in the AI plan as I just stay with Appletons and coke. The food is served buffet style for the three meals and is what I would term as adequate, although I have had some great food there too. There is an omelette station for breakfast. They generally post the menus at both properties, so if you don't like the menu at one, walk a block and eat at the other. Because the place is so well priced, I don't mind skipping a few included meals and going elsewhere to eat occasionally.

Unless something has changed Merril's does serve Dirty Bananas and Hummingbirds (shellyk)...they are in the small plastic cups but I didn't mind...you can get as many as you want and that is really what we all are looking for right?
i think Shelly K might be looking for all-u-can-drink AND big cups .....
Ahh big cups nah matter. I'm not in any rush and I think we all know I am not beyond walking the street with three small cups in tow . LOL Just wanted to make sure those drinks were included in AI rate there. Only reason I am looking to stay AI is too beat the budget a little in that area.
