..... most of the children in Jamaica are in the middle of end-of-year exams right now! I know of two students in particular that will be writing 14 different exams.... my goodness! A special vote of confidence for all our youth of the future... may they have the patience, intelligence and willingness to do well during this very difficult time :)

The children are coming to the end of another school year. At Get Kids to School we are already focused on next year--September. The kids need to be outfitted with uniforms, book bags (back packs), shoes, underwear, socks and regular ole school supplies. We welcome donations of any of these items (or cash which we will use to buy them). We directly sponsor 40 but assist another 50 parents with purchases for the start of the school year. GKTS is a collaborative effort; parents, Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Rotary Club of Negril, the Franciscan Friars, and many individual benefactors. --Fr. Jim
