A thought provoking article
Morning Everyone!
A good friend sent me a link to a very interesting article printed in The Observer entitled "Where are the tears for Jamaica's Trayvon Martins?".
After reading this article I felt it should be shared with everyone here. I hope it's not too negative, but more of an 'eye opener' in the hopes that JUSTICE will eventually prevail as more people get informed and try help in any way they can.

Re: A thought provoking article
Gee,so the Trevon verdict has What ? to do with Jamaican police shooting Jamaicans???? Blacks in America should be More concerned with 50 blacks shot in Chicago EVERY weekend by Other blacks???? Zimmerman went to his senior prom with a Black girl,he supported and protested against the Sanford Police when the Chiefs son punched out a black homeless man....Zimmerman who is Latino tutored/fed and walked two black kids to school daily for FREE....Trevon had been expelled for Weed in school,he videotaped him and his pals beating a homeless man,his girlfriend Lied on the stand,,,,,He had a photo of a GUN on his phone,he could have got away but came back a Sucker Punched Zimmerman and BASHED his skull into the cement before the shot was fired....The head Detective who arrested him said he BELIEVED him,the Prosecutor was Indicted for withholding evidence????Do some homework before you make a political statement.
Re: A thought provoking article
An armed adult shot and killed a teenager who was walking home from the store. I don't want live in a country where that is considered acceptable behavior. The ethnicity of the parties involved is irrelevant to me.

I agree, Fr. Jim. Although it is hard to "get informed" when your mind is closed and made up and that is a major problem in this country. Polarization. There is little middle ground these days.
I like you am sending good thoughts (as I don't pray) "to all those families who have lost a loved one this way!"
