spring proposal
After reading this message board for a while I thought I'd get your guys opinion on what should be a special day. I'm coming to Negril (first time in Jamaica) late spring 2014 for my sister's wedding. Afterwards my gf and I are getting our own hotel for a week where I am planning on proposing.
I was going to get your advice on where to stay special places to pop the question. Some of my thoughts on where to stay is banana shout, citronella, tensing pen, or caves (is the price worth it). Catcha doesn't have the rooms I want available. Any romantic spots or restaurants? Much appreciated.

Re: spring proposal
Hey there DGreen,
firstly congrats on your upcoming engagement. There are so many wonderfully romantic locations in Negril. Whether it be on the beach or on the cliffs you can't go wrong in Negril. The treehouse at Kuyaba is kinda funky, also Teddy's Hideaway located within Blue Cave Castle is very romantic if you can get a table by the sea. Just keep reading this board and you'll find out about many super places.
Peace,

Re: spring proposal
Stay at Tensing Pen. One of the Rock cottages and Seagrape (lower) has a/c if you need it like I do...you can pop the question out in the hammock hut then walk next door to Catcha for a nice dinner...if you let them know ahead of time they can set up something really nice for you...or ask her at Catcha when you are there for dinner, it's beautiful there at night.
Congratulations on your upcoming engagement :)

Re: spring proposal
The "100 candles" dinner at Ivan's at Catcha is wonderfully romantic. That's how we celebrated our 5th and it was magical!

Re: spring proposal
You cannot go wrong with tensing. Rock cottage is uber cool (the name describes it), we have stayed there in the south house 1 and 2 (I like 2 better), even our first trip where all that was available was the garden b room was awesome. We have red birch for our trip this year, it has tons of space if you want that. And... Catcha is right next door, with some of the best food available at Ivan's (love that place).
