Beach House Villas or Coco?
Looking at going back again early January. We usually stay in the Owner's Villa at Nirvana, but it's not available all of our days and we want to try something different.
We want beachfront, at least for us, our kids (19/23) don't have to be, if we can't get a 2BR for all of us.
Can get a lower Beach House villa (2BR) at BHV or a combo of Honeymoon Suite for us and some other room for the girls at Coco
Anyone have experience with either property?
The availability of cooks at BHV is very appealing, has anyone used it?

BHV will be a great choice. If you like the cook idea & want another option, try Crystal Waters. Great for kids.

Yes, PGW has stayed at Crystal Waters a bunch of times and really likes it. Nice Palapas on the beach. I read where someone mentioned the villa that is beachfront, living area window looks out at the beach. I think it's a 3 bedroom villa. Can't remember if it was PGW who mentioned that or someone else. Search the forum for "Crystal Waters" and you should find it. I think it's a nicer area and beach than BHV. Right beside Margaritaville which your daughters may like, yet haven't read any complaints about noise. Staying at Country Country (the other Crystal Waters neighbor), I only heard Margaritaville music on Friday nights, and it ended at 2 am.

I'll second Crystal Waters for the density aspect. I'm not a big fan of Coco and would never stay there again. Nothing glaring, just not my cup of tea.

Stayed there many times with 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16yr old boy. He loved it & we loved it too. Beachfront villa is a 3 bedroom unit. It comes with 2 cooks/houskeepers. Great unit. There is another 2 bedroom unit that sets back a little but is beach view and is a newer unit.

Thanks for the replies. My concern with Crystal Waters has been the lack of shade trees on the beach, that's one of the best features of Nirvana. I do hear the cook service is very good there. Sent an email to see what's available.

As you know, you're not going to match up all the features of Nirvana at another property...all have pros/cons, just depends on your priorities. I've read that BHV doesn't have shade trees either. I think that Crystal Waters has a few trees in one corner, in addition to their palapas. I was at CC in February 2012 and didn't really notice anyone on the beach at CW, so you'd have your choice of where to park yourselves...could move loungers to where you'd like.
Coco has some trees on the beach, but you could be sharing the beach with 150 other people...in which case, you may not get a spot by a tree. I love trees myself and like to see them around, but IMO, a nice palapa or umbrella by my lounger works just fine.

Now thinking of getting two cottages at Country Country for the whole stay. Will I be bummed after multiple stays at Nirvana? Figure we only use the cook service there for breakfast anyway, since it's included at CC, maybe we won't miss it. Looks like the outdoor space in the cottages there is pretty nice.
Other option is there for a few days, then to the owner's villa @ Nirvana for the last 5.
Still considering BHV, but I like the part of the beach between CC and Nirvana better.
Crystal Waters and Idle Awhile were both full.

Decided to hedge my bets, 4 nights at CC, then 5 at the owner's villa @ Nirvana.
