mason's giant heads ..anyone

Where does Mason sell these heads?

Mason is located just past Charela's Inn - If you are walking south on the beach, you will see a chain link fence with an opening to walk through with vendors on the other side (south will have the ocean on your right). His shop is the closest to the beach. I have his business card, and you can call him at 867-4246 local from Negril (I think the area code is 876).

He's one of the best carvers ..islandwide ..
Pricey ..yes .. but his work is amazing ..
there is another carver named Wesley ... ( an older getleman ) in the craft market ... who also does very nice work ..with no pressure..
& is willing to work on price..

Those things are huge. We've purchased something of that size before, but it was pre-9/11, and they let me bring it into the cabin, I put it behind our seat... 5'10" giraffe.

Unfortunately, the dry heat of the house, and the cats (they knocked him over, breaking his nose, ears and other parts over the years)finally brought about it's demise this past fall. Those heads have got to weigh 200#'s. I cannot even imagine trying to get it home. Someone is buying them somewhere however... I appraise real estate, and I have seen heads of that size in folks homes before.

I asked him about the selling price ... anywhere from the 2 to 4 K ..
price range .. we said he would work out a price
I don't know if they are ironwood or not ..
I too have had a giraffe ..that met the same demise
Mind you that was about 4 years ago .. So, I can only imagine what they may be now

Those big heads are not ironwood, cedar I think, I started to check into shipping one of them big heads, not cheap and there is always a chance they wont let it into Canada, because its wood. Mason is right in font of Waves park, where Niah,s Pattys is located.
