this painting is a tribute to one of the greatest jewelers in jamaica, Alphonso Jackson, who left this planet a few years ago. Maybe some of you knew him and his work. He was a dear friend. For those of you who are not familiar with his incredible jewelry, his wife, Diane, has been carrying on. She generally sets up at LTU pub.

What a great piece of art, Alfonso was a friend and Diana is to this day, I have a number of pieces of jewellery from over the years from Alfonso and I have a couple of Diana originals as well.
What a great way to start my Sunday morning.

the thing is, booger, that if you really wanted to use painting to express yourself, starting with stick figures might just be incredible. everybody has the ability. it's the judgments about whether or not it's good that keep us from so many self expressive activities.
