Good times @ Fun Holiday Beach Resort

last minute to Negril we booked the FHBR once again (2x. We have been to Negril and reached many other places on the island for past 25 yrs. Negril is best for the beach and we love the location, say no more !!! I am not Not much of an A.I. resort type of person but here @ FHBR it has something different, not fancy not pretentious, just real style Jamaica the STAFF are amazing and very attentive to all your needs. We are not big drinkers so the issues we've heard about that was not a deal breaker, we love the ambiance of the place & the people !!!! Thanks Negril & FHBR for another excellent week of fun in the sun !

I have stayed there a few times, once with family, its always a good value, but man all I wanted was a pillow case!

yes, I agree the place does have it's short cumming s but so does everywhere else. As I said Jamaican style !!

Glad to hear Irie Andy we are returning for our second stay at FHBR and our 8th trip soon come 10 sleeps!
We have tried many places on the beach and opted to return to FHBR yes its small not fancy and we also
are not big drinkers, so no problem for us either, I only hope to get a softer bed this time and have requested
a upper floor room that has been remodeled. We bring fluffy beach towels so not problem there either.
And we really liked the food last time too.

Do you suggest any room? Last stay was 2011 we were in D23 and it was not remodeled.
Who is working here now? From other reports the names of staff we became to know are
not being mentioned?

I'm here now in B209. Beds are softer than they were in 2011 (rm A105 had beds of stone). Not sure if they replaced some or I just got lucky. I don't do the AI, so I'm not really here all that much, but Richard told me most of the staff is new. My housekeeper, Miss Jenny, is still here and she is great. All the staff here, new or not, are all very friendly. I love the vibe here. Very chill. I can not suggest a room as I haven't stayed in any of the remodeled ones yet. I also bring some fluffy beach towels and a pillowcase! :) I am sure I'll book FH again next year. As a solo traveler, I feel very comfortable here.

I've stayed at Fun Holiday a couple times and would happily do so again. It is a budget hotel located on a great stretch of the beach. Great value for your vacation dollar, and if you keep the price you paid in mind, you shouldn't have much to complain about. Excellent, friendly staff!

We are staying there for the first time in January. We are not concerned with a "luxury" feel. A room is just where I/we sleep off the booze and subs(my wife doesn't eat sandwiches), then we hit the beach and do it all over again. We have stayed at Coco, Sunquest/Wild Parrot, Rooms, and The Palms in the past, so I am sure that FHBR will serve our needs just fine. Plus, we are very happy with the location, as some of our favorite haunts are right in that area of the beach(Tony's, Alfred's, Roots, Island Twist, Robert and Maureen's place((Sunshine?)), and hopefully Aqua for some NFL action).

49 more days!! Can't wait for our next reach!!

we were in c105 ground floor newer side. bed was soft and comfy, room was always spotless after maid came in...food was excellent bar staff Collin & Nyron were great along with dinning staff Samantha, Shelly & Santina !!! I only mentioned a few names sorry if I left out anyone. The front desk staff were very quick to assist you I dealt with Jessica mostly, she is a very charming & caring person taking care of all your needs. Vernom don't let these people get away as they made out trip and they make your resort a place were people will return again & again. AT FH their staff do wonders with what they have to work with. Oh yeah FH now provides beach towels. Don't forget to tip for good service, as the most hotels in Jamaica do not pay very well. We had the best trip to date because of the staff, beach, food and the fun people we met .
